UPDATE: As Wildfire Spreads, Authorities Evacuate Latrun, Close Sections of Highways

Fifty firefighting crews and 12 aircraft have been deployed to battle the blaze

The Israel Police said they have decided to evacuate the Latrun area, Park Canada, Moshavim Nvei Shalom, Maoz, Bakua and Nachson, as strong winds fan a wildfire in the Jerusalem Forest.

Police forces are working to evacuate settlements and direct the population, as the wildfire that started in the Eshtaol Forest blazes and spreads.
