In a video released last night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a direct warning to Qatar and, indirectly, to Turkey: “I say to Qatar and all states that shelter terrorists – either expel them or put them on trial. If not, we will do it ourselves.”
Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, told CNN that Netanyahu is “leading the Middle East into chaos,” adding that Doha is reassessing both its mediating role and Hamas’s future presence in the country.
According to Al-Khaleej Online, considered close to the Qatari government, Doha has formed a legal team headed by State Minister Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Khalifi to take all possible measures against Israel’s strike in Doha, including a possible appeal to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
Senior Israeli officials argue that the attack exposed Qatar’s real role: not as a neutral mediator, but as an open backer of Hamas that consistently incites against Israel. While states like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE seek stability, Qatar continues to host Hamas leaders and broadcasts anti-Israel rhetoric via Al Jazeera, deepening regional divides.
