The Tristar of the Dead Sea

The 'picture of the week'  is of the Tristar of the Dead Sea. Those who would like to see this should come now to the Dead Sea area.
The Tristar belongs to the Starling family. It got its name from the English priest Tristem who in 1864 came to the Holy Land and was the first to catch such a bird near the Mar Saba monastery in Nahal Kidron.

The Tristars are monogamous and the male and female will not only stay together, but eat together, and clean each other's feathers.

Shabbat Shalom!
