December 2, 2024: The Washington Kurdish Institute (WKI) unequivocally condemns the recent attacks perpetrated by various terrorist factions, supported by Turkey, against the Kurdish population in Aleppo and its surrounding countryside.

Approximately 300,000 Kurds, displaced by Turkey’s invasion of Afrin in 2018, now face a dire situation, besieged and expelled by radical Syrian groups backed by Turkey. These groups are exploiting the ongoing conflict between the Syrian regime and al-Qaeda affiliates in Aleppo to further their agenda.
