US is weighing ways to sanction UNRWA, with possibility of designating it as a foreign terrorist organization
You remember UNRWA—the organization the U.N. keeps calling “the backbone of the humanitarian response in Gaza.”
Well, the U.N. isn’t wrong. UNRWA has been fundamental to the humanitarian reality in Gaza. It’s they who put aid straight into Hamas’ hands and turned its facilities into safe houses for terrorists. Despite its “neutrality,” it even managed to have 12 of its employees participate in the massacre on October 7.
It was a feat so impressive that they were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize this past year.
