Obama CIA director Brennan suppressed intel that Russia had compromising material on Hillary Clinton in 2016
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard revealed Wednesday that a declassified 2020 House Intelligence Committee report shows former CIA Director John Brennan intentionally suppressed intelligence that Vladimir Putin had compromising material on Hillary Clinton—and planned to release it after her expected victory in 2016.
Speaking alongside White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Gabbard said Brennan and other Obama-era officials buried evidence that contradicted the claim Russia favored Trump. Instead, the report shows Putin sought to undermine faith in the U.S. election system by holding back damaging intel until Clinton was in office.
According to the findings, the Russian intelligence reportedly included evidence of possible criminal acts, secret meetings between State Department officials and U.S. religious groups to boost Clinton’s campaign, and DNC emails referencing Clinton’s alleged emotional instability and use of tranquilizers.
