Nonie Darwish was raised in Gaza in the 1950s as the daughter of the head of the Egyptian "Fedayeen"- military intelligence - in Gaza.
"The word 'Fedayeen' means men who are ready to self-sacrifice, to do 'jihad' against the enemies of Allah. Who are the enemies of Allah? Anyone who is not a Muslim."
