During a recent appearance on FNC's "Hannity," Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed that Democrats are feeling the heat as they recognize the challenges facing Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.
Cruz criticized the Democrats for their lack of substantive policies, claiming they are relying on a message fueled by "hatred of Donald Trump," which he believes will not resonate with voters.
"I genuinely think the Democrats are in panic mode," he stated. "There seems to be a struggle within the White House. Joe Biden's supporters are frustrated as they see him being sidelined. After the Democratic convention, there was a temporary surge in support for Kamala Harris, but many of us warned that this surge would be short-lived. The issues at hand heavily favor Donald Trump and Republicans."
He further commented on Harris' recent interview with Bret Baier, labeling it a "train wreck." Cruz noted, "It was a disaster. She struggled to discuss her record over the past four years. My favorite moment was when Bret asked her what she meant by 'turning the page' after being vice president for three and a half years.
All she could do was shout about her disdain for Donald Trump. Ultimately, I believe that a message centered around hating Donald Trump won't lead to victory. With the Democrats facing crises at the border, economic turmoil, and foreign policy challenges, simply saying 'I hate Donald Trump' won’t be enough to secure success."
