A new Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs poll shows broad Israeli support for a hard security line against Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran and Palestinian statehood.
A new Israeli public opinion poll shows that a majority of Israelis support military action against Hezbollah, even if it risks a direct confrontation with Iran.
According to the survey, conducted by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs together with Lazar Research, 56% of Israelis support military action against Hezbollah despite the possibility of escalation with Iran. The finding reflects a clear public view that the Hezbollah threat must be dealt with firmly, even at the cost of a broader regional confrontation.
The poll also found that 79% of Israelis do not trust ceasefires with Hamas and Hezbollah, believing such agreements do not provide long-term security. On the Palestinian issue, 66% of Israelis oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state, a position that has remained largely unchanged since the October 7 massacre.
