In the airstrikes between India and Pakistan in Kashmir last week, Chinese-made J-10s of the Pakistani Air Force were reported to have shot down Indian French Rafale jets.
Although the Rafale is considered more technologically advanced, Pakistan’s success was due to a combination of effective military strategy, the use of a Chinese early warning system, and advanced PL-15 missile systems. On the other hand, India used the European Meteor missile system, but it seems that this advantage was not enough without high-level strategic coordination.
The incident attracted the attention of the United States, mainly due to the possible implications for a future scenario of a conflict between China and the United States over Taiwan.
The incident illustrates that superiority is not based solely on advanced equipment but primarily on the intelligent use of intelligence, electronic warfare systems, and operational training.
