What is CENTCOM planning for the Persian Gulf?
Iraqi sources say that the US is conducting a large intelligence operation from the air using spy UAVs off the coast of Iran, especially against areas under the control of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
Note: During the 12-day war, these areas were not attacked by the US or Israel.
Assessment: The areas under American intelligence surveillance are areas where Iran holds thousands of coastal sea missiles, long-range ballistic missiles, drone launch bases—in short, the whole package that poses an immediate risk to US forces stationed at bases in the Persian Gulf if fighting resumes soon.
