He is the first U.S. ambassador to visit the ancient Biblical site
The ambassador toured the heart of ancient Israel and held talks with Yesha Council heads, marking a diplomatic milestone.
In a landmark visit, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee made history by officially touring the ancient site of Shiloh in the Binyamin region: the first American ambassador ever to do so. The visit was hosted by the Yesha Council and Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Ganz.
Ambassador Huckabee and his wife, Janet, were warmly welcomed in a celebratory event attended by local leaders and residents. The couple began their visit with a guided tour of ancient Shiloh, accompanied by Ganz and Yesha Council Director General Omer Rahamim.
