In an emotionally charged funeral at Kfar Chabad, thousands gathered to remember Rabbi Zvi Kogan, Chabad ambassador in Abu Dhabi, killed in the UAE last week.
Family, Chabad rabbis, and community leaders spoke of resilience and continued commitment to their spiritual mission.
“Zvi’s life was stolen, but his mission cannot be silenced,” Chief Rabbi of the UAE, Levi Yitzchak Duchman, declared. “We are at war for the future of the world, of light against darkness. Every Jew is on a front line. We must remain the ambassadors of light and life. His death challenged us, his legacy demands us.”
Both Sephardic and Ashkenazi Chief Rabbis of Israel were present, with Rabbi David Yosef and Rabbi Kalman Ber calling for divine intervention and justice and crying as they were speaking.
