Local media sites revealed that a security company in Syria, associated with Wagner, opened the door to volunteering and recruiting young people of all ages by offering high salaries in order to entice them and make them join the ranks of the Russian militias, either inside Syria or outside, especially in Libya and Ukraine.
According to the Suwayda 24 website, about two thousand people gathered yesterday in front of the company's building in the Al-Siyad area in the rural area of Homs to register, after it was announced that the door to recruitment had been opened, and later the registration was stopped after the names of several hundred young people were collected and they were taken to medical and sports tests.
A source told the site that the salary that Wagner's militia pays, which ranges from $700 to $1,000, is much higher than that paid by Assad and the Iranian militias, which does not exceed $25 per month, which causes many of Assad's mercenaries to try and get accepted at Wagner after the Syrian economy collapsed.
One of the volunteers stated that after passing the health and sports tests, accompanied by hundreds of others, he was told by one of the company officials that they would contact him and set a date for the trip, and it may take several months.
