The media in Syria reported that yesterday the IAF attacked, using suicide drones, a warning radar station of an air defense battalion of the Syrian army located at the military airport "Al-Tuala" northeast of the city Deraa, 25KM from the Israeli Golan Heights.
Apparently another attack out of the hundreds of Israeli attacks on Iranian facilities on Syrian soil or Syrian facilities that serve the Iranian forces.
However, the warning radar that was destroyed was under the exclusive command of the Iranian and Hezbollah forces operating in Syria and its role was to warn, in real time, the Iranian command about Israeli fighter jets making their way to the east and possibly on their way to Iran.
In fact, according to foreign reports, it has been working for a long time to "blind" the eyes of the Syrians and Iranians and not allow them to receive advance warning about the arrival of the fighter jets that are making their way to destroy targets by surprise either on the soil of Syria or on the soil of Iraq and maybe once on the soil of Iran.
But one should pay attention to a new fact that has gone unnoticed by the media.
For a long time, Iran has been making sure to bring Houthi experts from Yemen, along with their instructors from Hezbollah, who also received training in Iran in operating ballistic missiles and in operating suicide drones, and place them in front of Israel's border in case a full-scale war with Hezbollah develops or if Israel attacks Iran's nuclear facilities.
The Yemeni experts were stationed both at the Al-Tu'ala military airport north of Daraa and at the Syrian "Al-Holkhola" military airport, where their role will be to launch suicide missiles and UAVs towards Israel.
The destruction of the radar today was intended to blind those Yemeni experts and disrupt their intentions.
The media in Syria also claimed that along with the attack on the radar station at the airport in Suwayda district, 4 more targets of the Syrian army, captured by the Iranians, were attacked in the Daraa area, west of the airport. What is the common denominator of these attacks? Probably the Iranian preparations to attack Israel through its militias in order to ease the military pressure on Hezbollah, which Israel launched a ground attack on.
