The US has approved Poland to buy advanced rockets and rocket launchers worth $10 billion on February 7. The deal includes the sale of 18 M142 HIMARS making it the latest European nation to acquire the system
The US-made HIMARS has made headlines in recent months as Ukraine has used the system to hit Russian targets in Ukraine. The announcement of the sale of HIMARS to Poland comes nearly a year after the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. However, unlike Ukraine, the US is providing Poland with special ammunition.
