The Israel Defense Forces has decided to establish a new military factory dedicated to producing thousands of explosive FPV drones every month for use across all combat arenas.
The move comes as Israel continues adapting to the growing battlefield threat posed by Hezbollah’s explosive drones and the wider global shift toward low-cost drone warfare.
According to the report, the factory will dramatically expand the IDF’s arsenal of “suicide drones” designed for precision attacks, battlefield interception missions, and anti-drone operations.
Until now, the IDF purchased FPV drones from an Israeli company whose products were partially manufactured in China, with each drone costing thousands of shekels. The new initiative aims to fully localize production inside Israel under the IDF’s Technology and Logistics Directorate.
