How is Turkey connected to Lebanon's maritime border?

Recently, the Russian company "Novtech" announced that it is leaving the consortium with the French Total and the Italian Eni for gas exploration in Lebanon.

According to a newspaper in Beirut, senior energy officials who were recently in Turkey heard that it is interested in entering as a partner instead of the Russians.

According to the report, the Turks are convinced that Israel will not have a problem with them since "within a year or two, Turkey will become an important market for Israeli gas."

Another country that is keeping an eye on the Lebanese consortium is Qatar, which has recently begun to show activity in the field of gas in the Mediterranean basin with projects in Egypt and Cyprus.
