As part of the strengthening of economic relations between Israel and India, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich met today (Tuesday) in Jerusalem with the Indian Ambassador to Israel, JP Singh
The meeting, held together with Israel’s Chief Economist Dr. Shmuel Abramson, dealt with the full range of economic issues on the agenda between the two countries.
In recent years, India has become one of Israel’s most important trading partners in the world in general and in Asia in particular, and the expectation is that in the coming years we will see sharp growth in the volume of trade and investments between India and Israel, also against the backdrop of strengthening political and security ties between the two countries.
Among the many issues discussed at the meeting, the advanced negotiations between the countries on signing an investment protection agreement, which is expected to be concluded in the coming months.
