The IDF released information today that they have hit more than 4500 Hezbollah military targets since the start of the war, including over 100 on Tuesday.
The Iran backed terror group has been attacking Israel on an almost daily basis since Oct. 8. And yet, the world doesn't consider this a "war".
Leaked rumors abound that Qatar and Egypt have told Hamas to go back to negotiating for hostage releases, and threatening that if not, Qatar will exile the billionaire Hamas leaders that are in Qatar. At the same time, a "very senior" official has accused the U.S. of trying to supplant the current Israeli government and put a government into Israel that would be more responsive to US demands, including pressuring Israel to cease fire.
In multiple conversations today/tonight with Israelis, it seems that our brothers and sisters there are concerned that external world pressure may prevent the war cabinet from making sure the mission is finished. This comes at the same time that Biden is making veiled threats to Israel that he might decide to stop giving military aid to Israel; and as a US intelligence report warned that Israel may have to deal with Hamas for "years to come"
A lasting Hamas is an invitation for another Oct 7, God forbid. It is why the mission since Oct 7 has been and remains clear.
It is sad how many American Jews have placed the war behind them because of their own weariness. We cannot let that happen, and must always remember the pain that we all experienced and felt when we heard of the depravities of Oct. 7. We all live in a bubble here, but must always be cognizant of the war, with our people fighting for our very survival.
And make no mistake, this is a war for Israel's survival: against the enemies who attacked on Oct 7 as well as the world's non military attacks on Israel.
And it is our job and blessing as Diaspora Jews to constantly defend and support Israel from here.... with our money, time, efforts, and counteracting the constant barrage of anti-Israel propaganda that is dispersed here in America. If nothing else, when someone says a fallacy about Israel, each of us can at least take the time to help them learn about the history and the realities in the Holy Land.
I challenge everyone to do something good for Israel today: make a financial donation to an Israeli cause; expose an anti-Semitic lie; or at the very least, say an extra prayer for Israel, her land, and her people today.
