The Jordanian parliament ousted MP Osama al-Ajarma after he claimed that the authorities had initiated a power outage across the country during the "Operation Guardian of the Walls" to prevent an Amman procession as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians.

The measures against him led to unusual clashes with firearms between gunmen identified with him and security forces in the capital last night. It is now reported that some clashes are still going on now.
