Van Jones is no conservative. He rarely has anything positive to say about the Republican Party or Donald Trump. But he is indeed a straight-shooter who doesn’t hide his opinions even if they are not politically correct. Here, he clearly stands up and explains to some confused liberals that Iran is not a country like other moderate Arab countries. He educates the uneducated by explaining to them that Iran is a country that is not just illiberal. It is a country that is run by terrorists, fueled by terrorism, and run by people who dream and pray of destroying the United States of America every day.  

Iran’s repressive paramilitary Basij forces has joined police at road checkpoints nationwide to locate suspected operatives.

Speaking on CNN:

"I think progressives underestimate how dangerous Iran is. Iran is not a normal country. Normal countries don‘t blind women because they showed some hair. They don't empower little gangs and proxies to surround a country and fire rockets and rape people.

They cannot have a bomb ... Because they say death to America, death to Israel and death to all the Jews. One of those should offend you if you're progressives — at least one should offend you.

We cannot have a nuclear-armed Iran."

One can be a political foe of Donald Trump and still applaud his actions to back up the Israel attack on Iran with bunker-buster technology to neutralize and severely weaken the nuclear threat from Iran. Did the USA obliterate the threat as President Trump declared? Perhaps. Perhaps not. President Trump is known for exaggerating how great he thinks he is. But Fordow will not be operational for many years to come. 

Unquestionably, this move by President Trump, namely, to approve the attack, took a lot of guts and will be studied by future leaders of the free world for decades. The general idea of the United States not taking part in foreign wars, but joining in with overwhelming power and precision for a short-lived, yet super powerful attack may very well become the wave of the future. It may become the new modus operandi that Presidents speak about as the best example of what the United States should do in order to not get caught up in a military quagmire while not burying their heads in the sand as foreign threats loom greater in the age of nuclear bombs.

What is not being focused on by the press enough is the China factor. Donald Trump is clearly focused on containing the influence of China around the world. Pres. Trump just sent a massively powerful signal to China via the overwhelming power of the B-2 bomber’s payload. Taiwan is breathing more easily now as they know that when Pres. Trump says that America has their back, they back it up with action. So are other countries that are concerned about China’s tentacles grabbing them. 

So much for the TACO – Trump always chickens out – line. It never was true and Pres. Trump just destroyed that image in one fell swoop this past week.
