Cars Burned, 81 Arrested
At least 81 people were arrested following violent clashes in Paris after large crowds of fans gathered to celebrate Paris St-Germain's (PSG) victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final. The Parc des Princes stadium was turned into a fan zone for the night, where around 48,000 supporters gathered to watch the match in Munich.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show police armed with batons clashing with individuals near the area where thousands of fans had gathered to watch the Champions League final against Inter Milan on Saturday. The unrest led to fires across Paris, with vehicles set on fire near the stadium and objects thrown at police.
According to local media reports, several fires were ignited near the stadium, prompting fire brigades to respond to multiple locations as chaos unfolded. Law enforcement used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse unruly crowds and prevent further escalation.
