Israel exposes falsifications in IPC "famine" report, demands its withdrawal
Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar Tal held a press conference on August 27 for the international media, presenting Israel’s analysis of the recent IPC report on Gaza. According to Bar Tal, even IPC’s own data proves the report was manipulated to create a political narrative that would aid Hamas’s campaign.
Bar Tal also revealed that Israel formally sent a letter to IPC today, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the report. If IPC refuses, Israel will urge international donors to halt funding.
Main falsifications cited by Israel:
Invented deaths: IPC allegedly fabricated 182 “virtual deaths” to reach a politically charged threshold of 188 starvation cases.
