Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that road accidents with casualties in the country in February 2024 saw 1,108 people wounded in 663 Road Accidents, of whom 162 were seriously injured.
In February, 26 people were in fatal road accidents, compared with 33 in February 2023.
In addition to that, in February 2024 2,614 accidents were reported to the police which they classified as “general with minor casualties” where a total of 3,212 people were said to have been slightly injured.
There was a 15.2% decrease in the number of people seriously injured in road accidents compared to February 2023 (162 compared to 191).
There was a 12% decrease in the number of casualties compared to February 2023 (1,108 compared to 1,259) and a decrease of 28.5% compared to the February monthly average in the years 2020-2022 (1,549).
There was a 6.5% decrease in the number of accidents (663 compared to 709) and a 26.7% decrease compared to the monthly average for February in the years 2020-2022 (905).
