US Muslims are "disappointed" by Trump appointment

Muslim community leaders in the US tell Reuters they are deeply disappointed by Trump's appointments to the new administration

"We helped him win against Biden's administration, which supports Israel's war in Gaza and Lebanon. We are not satisfied with his choice for foreign minister."

Other senior Muslim officials in the US also say that they are disappointed by Trump's selection of Alice Stefanik as US ambassador to the United Nations and the selection of Mike Huckabee, "a supporter of the Israeli occupation" for the post of ambassador to Israel.

NEWSRAEL: As if they were still in the Middle East, Muslims in America overestimated their electoral strength. In the end, their influence was close to nothing for either side.
