If there is no last minute change tomorrow (Thursday) a little history will take place in Lebanon. The French company Total will start gas drilling in Block 9, following the maritime border agreement signed with Israel in October 2022.

In Lebanon there are great expectations that the results of the drilling will be positive and today interim Prime Minister Mikati and Speaker of the Parliament Navia Berri were photographed in a helicopter above the rig in the middle of the sea.

If gas is found in commercial quantities, this will give Lebanon a certain economic horizon, although actual production is expected to begin only in at least two to three years.
