The immigration of Jews from Russia continues, and in the first half of 2024, 11,557 immigrants immigrated to Israel from Russia.
In total immigrated to Israel from all over the world in the first half of 2024: 16,414 immigrants (which is an annual rate of 35,000, many more immigrate in the summer), monthly average: 2,736.
Immigration from countries with a severe wave of anti-Semitism is disappointing, which means that the Jews are still not ready to leave there. From the USA, only 869 immigrants came to Israel in the first half of 2024, from France 506, from Ukraine 524 and Belarus 415.
These are impressive figures, despite the war we are in, but in light of the wave of existential anti-Semitism in the West, one would have expected much more. Our government officials, the agency and the other organizations talk a lot, but in practice not much happens with them.
