According to a report by Amwaj.media, Israel and Iran have recently engaged in indirect exchanges of messages, apparently mediated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The report stresses that the purpose of the messages was not to reach an agreement or establish long-term understandings, but rather a limited attempt to prevent security escalation. Israel reportedly conveyed that it is not interested in military escalation, while Iran delivered a non-binding response indicating it does not accept any formal framework of coordination.
A senior Iranian political official confirmed that indirect communication has recently taken place between Jerusalem and Tehran regarding the possibility of avoiding further strikes. According to the report, Iran’s side of the contacts is being handled by Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, who recently updated Putin in a phone call that Iran does not intend to initiate an attack against Israel.
