At a September 27, 2025 session of ArabCon 2025, the National Arab American Convention held in Dearborn, Michigan on September 26-28, 2025, host of The Young Turks podcast Cenk Uygur asked Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) why the majority of Democrats in Congress "hate their own voters" and refrain from doing what they want them to do.

Khanna replied that it is because of "money," and said that every time AIPAC attacks him, he gains more supporters.

He added that Democrats are afraid of headlines, such as the one suggesting that he was sharing the stage with "pro-terror radicals" at the convention.
