The IDF eliminated Hamas terrorist Hussam Shafai in an airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

Shafai, a member of Hamas’s East Khan Yunis Battalion, invaded Kibbutz Nirim during the October 7 massacre. He participated in the abduction of Col. Asaf Hamami, Staff Sgt. Tomer Ahimas and Sgt. Kiril Brodski, who were killed while fighting the terrorists.

The IDF described the elimination as an important closing of the circle. It was made possible by intelligence gathering and a strike directed by the Gaza Division’s fire-control center.
