WATCH: Ambassador Danon sounds Red Alert siren at UN Security Council
Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon demonstrated to the U.N. Security Council a sample of the missile warning all Israelis receive — and how quickly the 15 seconds they have to reach shelter pass.
During a Security Council session, I sounded a siren with a 15-second timer and asked the ambassadors to imagine the reality in Israel:
"Imagine you have 3 children and 15 seconds to run to a shelter. Which child do you take first?"
