A journalist working for the British newspaper "The Telegraph" revealed that the former head of an Arab intelligence agency told him that Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that Bashar al-Assad is a "complete fool", and often when they meet, Putin ignores him and only speaks to the senior officials accompanying him.
The British journalist John Coughlin confirmed, in his book "Al-Assad: The Victory of Tyranny", that Putin does not pay much attention to the dictator, Bashar al-Assad, despite the deployment of his forces in Syria that are intended to keep al-Assad in power. and protect two Russian military bases in Syria.
Coughlin quoted an unnamed Arab intelligence chief as saying that Putin thinks Assad is "stupid," and therefore he used to approach and talk to the officials who attended meetings with him and completely ignored him most of the time.
Coughlin emphasized that during the last four decades in which he has covered wars around the world, he has never faced a more brutal conflict than what happened in Syria, and pointed to the involvement of "Bashar al-Assad" in inhumane atrocities against the Syrians, and that his name will join the ranks of the greatest criminal leaders and murderers in history of the world like Hitler, Stalin and others.
The reporter noted that the strange irony is that when Assad became president of Syria, he was welcomed by Western countries at first because they believed he would correct and end decades of barbarism under the leadership of his father (Hafez al-Assad) despite the warnings they received about Bashar's hostile tendencies.
He added that Bashar al-Assad is now repeating what Bismarck said: "People look at my hands and the velvet gloves, but they are very wrong, because if I take them off, they will see an iron fist."
Colin added that this iron hand did not take long to appear, when he began to carry out large-scale acts of violence against the Syrian people.
