The Islamic regime has reportedly shut off street electricity in parts of Tehran as protesters continue to defy authorities.
Video footage circulating from multiple neighborhoods in Tehran shows streets plunged into darkness overnight after electricity was deliberately cut. Despite the blackout, protesters remained in the streets, raising their mobile phones and using their screens as lights in a clear act of defiance against the ruling Islamist regime.
The footage was recorded tonight in Punak, a neighborhood in northwestern Tehran, and reflects growing unrest across Iran. Protesters can be seen and heard expressing opposition to the Ayatollah-led government, even as authorities attempt to suppress demonstrations through intimidation and infrastructure shutdowns.
