In recognition of 20 local authorities, companies, and academic institutions that uniquely supported and worked over an extended period to strengthen reserve service members and their families.
The winning organizations have proven in practice that in their view, reserve service is a value of mission, Zionism, and national responsibility, which constitutes a central pillar in the strength of the State of Israel and the IDF's ability to meet ongoing security challenges.
The award winners were selected by a professional committee that was established, headed by the head of the Department of Discharged Soldiers and Reserves, Eyal Hans, and with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the IDF, local government, the business sector, the Council for Higher Education, the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Labor Federation, and other bodies.
The Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff congratulated the winners and emphasized their significant contribution to the resilience of the State of Israel, to strengthening the home front, and to the ability of the IDF and the Reserves to continue fulfilling their missions in the face of ongoing security challenges.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said: "Each of the organizations here is an example and model of mutual guarantee. You have chosen not only to stand by the reservists, but to do everything to make them feel valued as they deserve. This is not a contribution to be taken lightly - it is a contribution that constitutes an essential component in the State of Israel's ability to maintain a strong, stable and functioning reserve force."
