DR. FIAMA NIRENSTEIN -- In a meeting with foreign journalists, the Prime Minister attacked the maliciousness of the international media that presents Israel as a cruel, warmongering Jewish state
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not known for seeking out journalists, especially the foreign press corps that has for years attacked him personally and politically, accusing Israel of the most serious crimes imaginable. But on August 10, he did just that.
In perfect English and with his characteristic media power, Netanyahu met face-to-face in Jerusalem with representatives of the media outlets that have turned Gaza into a theater of bloodshed and the IDF their chief villain.
The reason? To take the fight directly to the “eighth front” of the war—the avalanche of disinformation that has become as dangerous as rockets or terror tunnels. Since Israel announced its expansion of operations in Gaza, anti-Israel activists and cooperating journalists have gleefully called it “occupier,” reviving the same tired propaganda that Hamas has relied on for decades.
