Dilhiyut Kasimov, a 34-year-old Uzbek citizen living in New York who was convicted of conspiracy and attempting to provide support to ISIS, was sentenced last night (Saturday) to 15 years in prison, the United States Department of Justice announced. The indictment against him was filed in 2015. The prosecution said he collected money and transferred it to another person to fund his trip to join a terrorist organization. Kasimov also planned to travel to Syria himself and enlist in ISIS.
