Turkish President Erdoğan issued a direct threat against Israel, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and what he called his “criminal network” of endangering Syria, Lebanon and Turkey.
“Turkey’s security begins not only in Hatay, but also in Aleppo, Damascus and Beirut,” Erdoğan declared. He said Ankara would not tolerate attempts to impose a new reality in countries Turkey considers “brotherly states,” nor remain silent in the face of Israeli military action.
Erdoğan also accused Israel of pursuing a “Greater Israel” vision and vowed that Turkey would prevent it.
“We are well aware of the ultimate objective of the ‘Greater Israel’ delusion,” he said. “God willing, we will never allow this to happen. Israel must be stopped.”
