WATCH: Lebanese Academic "We should sign a peace accord with Israel"

NEWSRAEL: As every day passes and the IDF moves forward against Hezbollah, more Lebanese are "coming out of the closet" and saying publicaly they want the end of Hezbollah.

Lebanese Academic Charles Chartouni: Israel is not an aggressor, it was attacked by Hezbollah; We should sign a peace accord with Israel; Hezbollah should surrender; There is no shame in that - it would spare further casualties.

In a November 15, 2024, interview on Transparency News YouTube, Lebanese academic Charles Chartouni called for Lebanon to sign a peace accord with Israel. He urged Hezbollah to surrender to avoid further casualties, stating that the ongoing conflict is not an "Israeli aggression" but a war between Hezbollah and the Israeli state.

Chartouni emphasized that it is in Lebanon's best interest for Hezbollah to be destroyed.

Some Lebanese are getting it - although we are a country not because the UN said it but because G-d gave us this land. It is ours and that is why we fight for it, we have no other home.

Why doesn’t he invite distinguished guests from Tel Aviv Uni & etc like other Arab countries have done and break bread together. This needs investment and more PR.
