While Israel has faced repeated wars against stronger and larger foes, it has stood alone, relying on the courage of its soldiers and the resilience of its people.
Except for a rare exception such as American B-52 bombing in Iran, Israel has never depended on foreign armies to save it. It has fought its own battles, burying its dead, and paying the ultimate price with the blood of its sons and daughters.
Europe, in contrast, stands exposed. The continent, which once styled itself as a global powerhouse, has long been dependent on American troops to guarantee its survival.
During World War II, Europe was liberated only because of American intervention. Afterward, it was rebuilt through the generosity of the Marshall Plan. And now, faced with the threat of Russian aggression, Europe still cannot stand on its own. It is the U.S. Army that would once again be called to fight and die to keep the continent safe.
