Israel rejected an American request to transfer weapons to the Palestinian Authority

The Biden administration's request followed the PA's operation in the Jenin refugee camp

Senior security officials say that in light of past experience, Israel fears a "reverse-fire" scenario and the weapons being turned against IDF soldiers in the future.

American officials say that the US also asked to unfreeze the PA's funds, but Israel refused that as well.
