This week, the 91st Division exercise was completed: the most extensive exercise since the beginning of the war, to increase operational readiness in defense and attack in the Lebanese border area - at sea, in the air and on land.
Last night (Thursday), a five-day divisional tree exercise was completed by IDF forces, under the command of Division 91 and led by the National Land Training Center in the Lebanese border area.
The purpose of the exercise is to increase readiness for extreme scenarios in defense, to provide a rapid response to explosive events, including the mobilization of reserves and the accumulation of forces, and to move on to the attack, all while drawing lessons and conclusions from two years of combat in all arenas.
The exercise scenarios were adapted to the operational situation following fighting in southern Lebanon, during which Hezbollah's operational capabilities were damaged.
The scenarios included practicing cooperation between the fighters on the defense mission in the sector, the Air Force and the Navy, in addition to the defense departments, local councils and the corresponding security forces - ambulance, MDA and police.
Additionally, logistics, medical, technology, and maintenance forces practiced in scenarios of evacuating wounded people under fire and providing a logistical, maintenance, and technological response in an emergency.
