BREAKING Defense Minister Katz: 'Israel will keep IDF forces in security zones'

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz says Israel will keep IDF forces in security zones in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza indefinitely to protect Israeli communities from jihadist threats.

Defense Minister Katz said Israel will not withdraw from the security areas despite international pressure, calling territorial control one of the war’s most important achievements and a central lesson of October 7.

He added that Prime Minister Netanyahu has conveyed the policy to President Trump and senior U.S. officials, and warned that if Iran attacks Israel over events in Lebanon, Israel will respond “with full force.”
