It can be noted that one of the Iranian goals in changing the equation, which is still being tested, is to stop the loss of territory to IDF control. Hezbollah has no response to the ground advance into new areas, and it seems that Iran currently has no response for it either.
For both, this is much more painful than the attacks in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut - which is why the Iranians are trying to involve southern Lebanon in the new equation.
