One of the strongest anti-Israel claims throughout the Gaza war has been that Israel systematically killed large numbers of journalists. That claim was repeated by international media outlets, advocacy groups, UN bodies and governments, often as proof that Israel was targeting press freedom.
But the narrative is now beginning to crack.
