Shock in Egypt in recent days following the horrific murder of a student in the northeastern city of al-Mansura. 

Nira Ashraf was slaughtered with a knife by a school friend because she did not want to be with him and everything in broad daylight. 

The one standing in the eye of the storm is the cleric, Baruch al-Atiya, who blamed her for what happened: "Either you wear a hijab or you are slaughtered."
