An Iranian-American physician from Beverly Hills is issuing a stark warning to the US, drawing direct parallels between today’s political climate and the events that led to the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Sheila Nazarian, whose family fled Iran under gunfire in the mid-1980s, says the early warning signs are unmistakable. According to Nazarian, Iran’s collapse into Islamist rule began on university campuses, where radical Islamists aligned with left-wing movements — a pattern she argues is now emerging in the US and across the West.
Nazarian urged Americans to speak out decisively, warning that silence and misplaced sympathy amount to appeasement. She stressed that once radical movements gain momentum, concessions only accelerate societal breakdown. Pointing to developments in Europe and other regions, she argued that defending Judeo-Christian values and democratic principles is essential to preserving freedom, justice, and national cohesion.
