The Israeli public was exposed to the character of Goldfuss in his famous speech ("Be worthy of us") for which he was also severely reprimanded, but what is really important is done below the surface - literally.
The 98th Division, under the command of Goldfuss, developed a new fighting method and the first of its kind in the world - fighting underground and on land in parallel at the same time, and specialized in destroying the underground tunnels.
More than 100 km of the tunnels were destroyed by the division in Khan Yunis, and many more kilometers of tunnels in the north of the Gaza Strip.
