Jordanian Minister Ayman Safadi claims: "Israel has no sovereignty over the holy sites in Jerusalem"

On the eve of the meeting between King Abdullah and President Biden, Jordanian Minister Ayman Safadi said that the holy sites in Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, are occupied territory.

He confirmed that Israel had rejected a Jordanian request to increase the number of Waqf guards on the Temple Mount: "Israel is interfering with Waqf members' duties"
