Minister of National Security in Israel, Ben Gvir today called for MK Ayman Odeh to be investigated for incitement and support of terrorism after remarks made in a speech
Ben Gvir made the demand to the Attorney General for the MK to be stripped of his parliamentary immunity following a speech Odeh gave at a protest in Haifa, where he declared: “Gaza will win and the occupation must be eliminated.”
Ben Gvir wrote: “Statements like these are not freedom of speech—they are blatant incitement in support of terrorism. In a normal country, someone who shouts ‘Gaza will win’ while terrorists are murdering Jews would be investigated immediately.
“The Knesset cannot serve as a shelter for terror supporters. I demand: revoke his immunity and allow the police to investigate him—without fear, without discrimination, and without double standards.”
Odeh is leader of the Hadash party, which follows Marxist ideology and calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state and evacuation of Israeli settlements in Israel.
